CIMA (Core Institute for Motivational Advancement) is a non-profit organization providing an avenue for mentoring, coaching and counseling, to motivate, educate and guide children, youth, and their families to live a more productive life through its educational programs, workshops and seminars that inspire excellence in their path to success beyond the classroom and in their professional lives.

A few words about us 

It is essential for more students to make the successful transition from school to the workplace if our nation is to continue as the global leader in the creation of high-wage jobs, and high-skilled careers and industries.  CIMA Inc is a non-for profit organization committed to the continued growth of our students in the areas of education, and their transition towards entrepreneurship through constant and never ending inspiration from our organization volunteers.  Focusing on communities where traditional public instruction is a challenge, we have developed a network of partnerships with high schools located in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Fernando Valley and the inland empire where CIMA’s mission is to build and sustain innovative hands-on relationships that make education a successful community endeavor.

CIMA was founded in 2004 in Little Tokyo Los Angeles, CA and it is one of the first Multicultural non-profits to serve a diverse community. The organization has partnered with a Los Angeles charter school, an international corporation and a world-renowned nonprofit cultural institution to jointly develop a public educational system.

The true power of the CIMA Learning Institute lies in the direct, hands-on involvement of individual CIMA members and staff who serve as tutors, mentors, lecturers, curriculum advisors, student project sponsors, project partners and coaches volunteering thousands of hours each year to the community. The student’s presence on the CIMA affiliate locations exposes them to a much broader network of people than they would encounter in a traditional, stand-alone high school. Students are frequently called upon to provide assistance and be part of a team, and to collaborate with CIMA staff on joint events to serve as unofficial ambassadors of the organization. Being part of the CIMA Inc. family will provide a unique opportunity to be part of a greater opportunity that serves everyone.

Our Goal

Education: With the expertise of working professionals, teachers, professors, corporations and business owners serving as coaches, CIMA Inc. will reach within the community to continue communicating the message on the importance of education and entrepreneurship through inspiration.  Our mission is to help our students succeed by helping them understand the importance of a good education, while providing them with tools on how to live productive lives. We have created the frame work and model program for student success beyond classroom instruction through the implementation of workshops that teach them life skills, such as communication, financial responsibility, investing, and leadership.  These programs are building blocks to help students achieve success in their academic, personal and professional lives.

Inspiration: We in America are falling behind, and we must become an advocate for our children.  With the dropout rate on the rise especially in high schools and colleges across the United States, we must reach out, and meet one-on-one with our youth.  With more than 100 volunteers, coaches, and mentors CIMA Inc brings a formula for success that will be instilled in every child that makes the decision to become a productive citizen. Our leadership and entrepreneurship workshops will provide the tools and the foundation for them to become our leaders of tomorrow.

CIMA Inc has partnered with professional athletics, actors, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and business professionals to help our students succeed. By the time our students have graduated from our program they will possess the necessary tools to become successful in college, technical training, and the job market.  We will have empowered dynamic young community leaders who will be committed to mentoring younger students down the road.

With over 10,000 students in the Los Angeles Unified School district alone, CIMA Inc seeks to reach out to students across high school and college campuses and in communities across the country, by providing students with critical entrepreneurial skills that will teach them about building businesses and financial responsibility.
